I have been living and working in Thessaloniki,
Greece, for over ten years - currently I am mainly involved in teaching English for

At the moment I am vey interested in exploring the ways that on-line learning can be used to support and enhance traditional face-to-face teaching. Rather than seeing on-line learning as either a self-access add-on to classroom teaching or as a replacement for the flesh and blood teacher, I am looking at how the on-line and face-to-face teaching can be combined to make the best use of their different strengths.
I am also interested in how teachers can use the WWW
for discussion and networking, the kind of thing we will be doing in our virtual
